Quick Spanish Hamburger Soup Recipe

Ingredients
1/4poundbeef, ground
1/4teaspoonsalt
1/4teaspoonpepper
8oztomato sauce, can
1eachcarrot, sliced
2ozmushrooms, can, stems and pieces
2tablespoononion, chopped
2tablespoonolives, pimento stuffed, sliced
1/2teaspoonsugar
1/2cupwater
1/4cupwine, dry, red
1parmesan cheese, grated, optional

Directions:

In saucepan cook ground beef till browned; drain off fat. Stir in salt and pepper. Add tomato sauce, carrot, mushrooms, onion, olives, and sugar. Stir in water and wine. Cover; simmer for 30-35 minutes or till carrot is tender, stirring occasionally.

Sprinkle individual servings with parmesan cheese, if desired.

Makes 2 servings.
