| 1 1/2 | pound | ground beef | |
| 1 | each | egg, beaten | |
| 1/2 | cup | bread crumbs | |
| 1/2 | cup | tomato juice | |
| 3 | tablespoon | onion, chopped | |
| 1 | each | bell pepper, chopped in rings | |
| 3 | tablespoon | celery, chopped | |
| 2 | teaspoon | seasoned salt | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | thyme | |
| 1 | ketchup or chili sauce | ||
Directions: | |||
| Using a fork, mix all the ingredients, except the ketchup and pepper rings. Shape into a loaf and put into greased crockpot. Top with ketchup and pepper rings. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then on low 6 to 8 hours. Quartered potatoes coated with butter may also be cooked with this recipe. A dash of Paprika will give them a nice browned look.
