Peanut Blossoms 2 Recipe

1 3/4 c Flour 1 ts Soda 1/2 ts Salt 1/2 c Sugar 1/2 c Brown sugar 1/2 c Shortening 1/2 c Peanut butter 1 Egg 2 tb Milk 1 ts Vanilla 9 oz Chocolate kisses Mix all ingredients with mixer on lowest speed till dough forms. Shape into balls and roll in sugar, place on ungreased cookie sheet in 375 oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Top each cookie with a candy kiss immediately. Press down firmly so cookie cracks around edge. Makes about 45 cookies. I've made these without the peanut butter before too. Just as good. Got this recipe from a friend many years ago. Nancy Miller - millern@andrews.edu -----
