Orange-Sour Cream Cookies Recipe

2 c Sugar

2 Butter; or margarine

3 Eggs; beaten

1/2 pt Sour cream

4 c Flour

2 ts Baking powder,double-acting

1 ts Baking soda

2 Oranges; juice and rind

3 tb Butter; softened

2/3 Powdered sugar

1 Orange; juice and rind

Milk; as needed

Cream 2 cups sugar and 2 sticks butter (or margarine) Add 3 eggs and sour cream alternately with with dry ingredients. Add juice and rind of 2 oranges. Drop by teaspoonsful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake at 400~ for 8-10 minutes. (check after 6 minutes) For Icing---Mix together last 4

ingredients,(3 tbs margarine or butter, 2/3 box powderd sugar, juice and rind of one orange and milk as needed) Spread on cooled cookies. Makes abaout 24 cookies. -----
